I’ve always been a fat chick.  Seriously, I can never remember a time in my life where my weight was not an issue.  My closet was a shrine to the things I adored most – elastic waist pants and huge shirts – all designed to hide those extra pounds.

I didn’t need a neon sign to tell me this was trouble.  I tried a diet “program” and lost about 20 pounds, and then it stopped.  I could not lose another pound. Nothing, nada, zip – for months.  My weight did not move.   Then, while waiting in my son’s pediatrician’s office one day, I saw a flier advertising a nutritional seminar, and the speaker worked with PCOS.  There we go.  I attended the seminar, made an appointment the next week, and was on my way.

The individualized nutritional plan is easy, and I get to eat REAL FOOD. Ironic as that is, I eat more food than the “skinny people” and still lose weight.   Now, I have more energy, PMS is a thing of the past, and I just feel better about myself.  I’ve lost twenty-five pounds so far on this plan, and still have more to lose, but it now seems more attainable than ever before.

The other part of this is the personalized support I received from Fred.  He was never more than a phone call or email away.  No question was too stupid, except the one unasked, and no concern was unworthy of his attention.  That made all the difference in the world.

I’ve turned in my card for the fat chick club.  I no longer qualify, and that is a great feeling.

Happy and healthy, what more can a former fat chick want?
